| Microdermabrasion is one of the most recent skin-care techniques to have crossed over from Hollywood to mainstream. It is an effective alternative to costlier, more invasive procedures. The idea is to remove dead and dying skin cells which the body then rushes to replace with new healthy ones. Some of the skin's visible imperfections, like sun damage, blemishes and fine lines, are removed. Microdermabrasion also allows products, serums, and other skin beneficial products, to penetrate deeper into the lower layers of the skin.
